I’m a 27 year old man in perfect health as far as I know. I’m average size. I’m about 5′10, 185 lbs. Since there are so many health insurance companies, which health insurance company will provide the most affordable health coverage for me?

Most companies have a variety of different plans from which to choose, from the “affordable” i.e. budget plans with many limitations and exclusions up to the fully comprehensive plans. Companies do not write policies in every state so the company with the cheapest rates will depend upon your location. You need to contact a local agent that works with all of the major companies in your area. The agent can find the best plan for your situation and budget. They can explain what you get and, more importantly, what you don’t get with the different policies. There is no extra charge using an agent.

I would find and insurance rep.(someone who works with multiple insurance companies). There is a lot to consider about how much coverage you need and they will know what to ask. I use norris insurance and have for years. They watch rates and occasionally rewrite my policy w/different companies as rates change so I get the best deal available to me through their carriers. They take care of my house, cars, life, and health, and have many types available that I just don’t need.

I would call around and get different prices. But make sure you read there policies have someone that you are close to that has been through this with you to read it over with you. I tell you health coverage is getting nuts. It all depends in the area you live in, and there is a lot to that. You can search on all the insurance companies, call them and get price quotes, and make sure you find out what they are about, what they cover, And before you talk to them, make sure you have a list of questions to ask them and listen to them.
Good luck.

There are a lot of different options out there, and you can get a lot of quotes online. Read the fine print and ask questions. You can save money if you accept higher deductibles.

It depends on where you live. Find an insurance broker that does business there and they’ll go through your options. The price through the broker is the same as going direct.
