An insurance agent from North Dakota admitted in court that he defrauded insurance companies of more than $800,000.
Alan Henning, an insurance agent with West McLean County Mutual Insurance Co., faces up to 30 years in prison and $1 million in fines for pleading guilty to a scheme to defraud, according to an Associated Press report.
Henning, who lives in Minot, N.D., was accused of obtaining unauthorized loans, writing unauthorized checks to himself and taking records from the insurance company, prosecutors said.
