Axa launches iPhone application to help drivers in a car accident

Motorists who have an accident will now be able use an iPhone application, or ‘app’, from Axa to help them through the accident.

The app will give the driver prompts to record necessary information at the scene of the crash, to assist them with making a claim on their car insurance . Anyone can download the tool from the Apple iTunes app store and this is free, although Axa customers have the additional feature of being able to contact the nearest approved repairer to come and collect the vehicle if it is not in a condition to be driven.

Simon Clayden, head of IT innovation at Axa, said: “Our app allows you to permanently store the information you need and will take you through a step by step process at the scene of the accident, prompting you to record all the necessary detail.”

Last month, Axa found that British drivers were among the most law -abiding in Europe, with only four per cent saying they have driven under the influence of alcohol, compared to the European average of 21 per cent. Read full article…

For missionaries who are not celebrating with family, the week of Christmas and New Year can be really hectic (and sometimes, depressing). Typically, missionaries visit several villages and towns around the season, spreading the idea and joy of Christmas to one and all. Those on missions double up as Santa Claus, elves, and sometimes, the preacher as well. Read full article…
